As we all know, local dentistry has long been an issue within our community.
Before I was elected, I ran a survey which found that only 31% of those who completed my survey had an NHS dentist. Almost everyone without an NHS dentist (97%) wanted one, and 65% of those without one said that this was because theirs went private.
I’ve used this invaluable local insight to speak in the House of Commons and directly with Health Ministers about the issues we face locally. This has helped us secure over 19,000 more urgent appointments in our NHS area.
This is important progress, but until everyone in our community who wants an NHS dentist can register with one, I will keep pushing for this for us.
I want to know if your experience of finding and/or keeping an NHS dentist locally has improved or not – so that I can keep making the case for us where needed.
If you can’t make the event, you can also share your views directly here.
I will collate this local feedback, share it with relevant Ministers and use it to continue to push for better dental services.
This event will be held in Bradley Stoke (full venue details following RSVP) on Saturday 31st October, 10am-12pm, and is open to across our whole constituency.
We expect this event to be popular, so RSVP here now to book your place.
