Join me and fellow residents for my next ‘Coffee with Claire’ event to find out more about and to shape what New Towns status could mean for Brabazon and our wider local area.

The Government’s New Towns programme is a major national initiative to support the development of a new generation of welldesigned, sustainable communities. More than 100 locations across the country were initially considered, with Brabazon and the area stretching to the Bristol and Bath Science Park (sometimes called the ‘West Innovation Arc’) now one of just 7 locations being shortlisted.

This next phase includes a public consultation, giving local residents and organisations the opportunity to shape how new towns could be developed in practice – from infrastructure and transport, to housing, jobs, and community facilities. This is an important moment to ensure our area’s priorities and concerns are properly reflected.

I’m pleased to be joined at this event by Cllr John Bradbury and Seb Loyn, Director of Planning and Development at YTL Developments. At this event, you’ll hear more about what the New Towns programme involves, and what this could mean for Brabazon and our wider area – including new homes, investment, and high-quality jobs. Just as importantly, it’s a chance for you to ask questions, raise concerns, and share your views, truly shaping the next phase.

As our local MP, I want to make sure that local voices are included and heard, as – together – we shape our community’s future. I will feed your views into the consultation and share them directly with Housing Ministers.

If you can’t make the event, you can also share your views directly here – https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/new-towns-draft-programme

This event will be held near Brabazon (venue provided following RSVP) is open to all across our whole constituency.

We expect this event to be popular, so RSVP below now to book your place.
