Whether it’s getting to work, college, the shops or the hospital, reliable transport matters. Our story is a very mixed one locally. For some, it’s relatively straightforward to get into Bristol City Centre, while for others that’s not the reality.
Challenges arise for almost all of us when trying to get across our towns and villages by bus, where many of our places of work and study are, where the hospital and train stations are, and where many of our loved ones are.
Our Government is also consulting on how information about local bus services is made available, including when a bus is running, when it has changed and when it has been cancelled.
I want to hear your experiences and views on all this, and I will share them directly with Transport Ministers, First Bus, and the West of England Combined Authority. Together, let’s make the case for better buses.
In addition to the ‘Coffee with Claire’ event I am holding on this in Winterbourne on Saturday 12th September, I am running this online survey until 19th September to hear from as many people as possible.
